May 2019 Market Watch Data from the Toronto Real Estate Board reported 9,989 homes sold in May.  This resulted in a substantial increase of 18.9% over the 15-year low in May 2018.  This is still below the average for the month of May sales for the previous 10 years.     Population growth from immigration remains strong and jobs are being created in the region.  However, sales activity continues to be below the longer-term mostly due to the mortgage... March 2019 Market Watch Data from the Toronto Real Estate Board reported 7,187 homes sold in March, just 1 sale less than reported in March 2018 (7,188), indicating a flat market.  Sales were not flat across all the GTA.  Sales in the suburbs were up by 5% while sales in Toronto were down by 9%.  The year-over-year drop in sales in Toronto could be blamed on the condo market which had sales drop 14%. February 2019 Market Watch  Data from the Toronto Real Estate Board reported 5,025 homes sold in February, down by 2.4 % on a year-over-year basis.   New listings also declined by a greater annual rate.  The average selling price was up modestly on a year-over-year basis.  The average selling price for all home types combined was up by 1.6% year-over-year.  Price growth was driven by the condominium apartment segment and higher density low-rise home types.... January 2019 Market Watch Data from the Toronto Real Estate Board shows that the number of new listings increased by 22 (4,099 to 3,987) over January 2018.  The stronger sales performed shifted from the city to the suburbs.  The city of Toronto saw sales drop 6% YOY, and the rest of TREB saw sales increase by 3.5%.
